We at Combient Pure are privileged to have an influential group of professionals and thought leaders who make up our Advisory Council. Now you have the chance to discover their unique expertise and get inspired as they share their wisdom in our new blog series.

In our new blog series each member of our Advisory Council will be introduced through dedicated blog posts, offering perspectives and advice on navigating the complexities of today's business and sustainability landscape. In this first blog post of the series we provide you with a brief introduction of each Advisory Council member, uncovering their backgrounds as well as their current position and initiatives.

Combient Pure’s Advisory Council consists of accomplished and influential leaders with a global perspective who have made significant contributions in their respective fields. From industry, finance, tech and service business to circular economy, biodiversity conservation and climate, their collective expertise covers a wide range of topics. They all share a passion for the environment and are actively engaged in driving the climate agenda within their respective domains. The members also occupy unique positions of influence in society and business, guiding substantial resources towards climate action.

JUSSI HERLIN, VICE CHAIR OF THE BOARD OF KONE CORPORATION
Jussi Herlin works and learns at KONE Corporation – a global leader in People Flow solutions – as Vice Chair of the Board. He has served on the Board of Directors for 14 years, seven of which in the present position. Previously, Jussi has held positions in strategy and market intelligence at both KONE and Accenture. In addition to his responsibilities at KONE, he holds several Board positions in Finnish companies, foundations and organizations such as EK - Confederation of Finnish Industries, Teknologiateollisuus - Technology Industries of Finland and Tiina and Antti Herlin Foundation. Jussi's interests span across a wide range of fields, including artificial intelligence, urbanization, leadership, intersectional feminism, impactful business, and the behavioral sciences.



CAROLINE ANKARCRONA,
BOARD MEMBER OF WWF SWEDEN, KOPPARFORS SKOGAR AB AND STOCKHOLM INSTITUTE OF TRANSITION ECONOMICS
Caroline Ankarcrona has held leading positions at the Royal Swedish Institute for Engineering Sciences where she, among other things, headed projects on resource effectiveness and circular economy. Currently she serves on the boards in a variety of various prominent organizations, research programs, foundations, and companies such as the WWF, Mistra Geopolitics, Kopparfors Skogar AB and Stockholm Institute for Transition Economics. Caroline Ankarcrona is also Director on the board of the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. 


MARK KROESE, GENERAL MANAGER OF SUSTAINABILITY SOLUTIONS AT MICROSOFT
Mark Kroese is the General Manager for Sustainability Solutions in Microsoft’s Environmental Sustainability team,  where he leads a team responsible for overseeing Microsoft’s sustainability product strategy, customer and partner engagements, and the impactful $1 billion Climate Innovation Fund. Mark is a 22-year Microsoft veteran, who firmly believes in the pivotal role of technology in the world’s journey to net zero. Beyond his work at Microsoft, Mark has been instrumental in several forest preservation projects, including the creation of the Central Suriname Conservation Corridor and a REDD project in the Orientale Provence of the DRC. In his leisure time, Mark enjoys climbing and skiing in the mountains. Mark has been recognized as a 2016 Harvard Advanced Leadership Fellow.


ANNA DENELL, SUSTAINABILITY DIRECTOR AT VASAKRONAN
Anna Denell, as Sustainability Director at Vasakronan, has overall responsibility for the company’s sustainability strategy. Anna joined Vasakronan in 1999 and has been part of transforming the Swedish property industry, where Vasakronan is now considered the industry leader, also including playing a key role in founding the Green Building Council in Sweden and issuing the world’s first corporate green bond in 2013. Anna also holds and has held positions as member of the advisory board for Swedish Smart Grid and for Wood in Construction. She is the chairwoman of “Hall Nollan” as well as board member of “Solkompaniet AB”, “Mistra Carbon Exit” and “LFM30”. Four of the last six years, Anna has been appointed “One of Sweden’s 100 most powerful environmentalists”.


CARL LINDGREN,
MEMBER OF THE COMBIENT BOARD
Carl Lindgren’s career spans both the corporate and nonprofit sectors, bringing a wealth of experience to Combient Pure’s Advisory council. He has a background in the finance and audit industries and has served as a chairman of the board in KPMG. Currently Carl contributes as a board member to several companies and nonprofits, including his role as Chairman of the Board at Plan Sweden, a board member of WWF Sweden and as a senior advisor for the Global Challenges Foundation. Additionally, Carl was actively involved in the founding of Combient Pure and currently serves as a board member in Combient. 


JUKKA RYHÄNEN, CEO OF COMBIENT FINLAND
Jukka Ryhänen is the founder of Combient Pure as well as the CEO of Combient in Finland. Before joining Combient, Jukka held leadership positions in global software and service business companies, serving both in executive and board roles. He provides valuable guidance to Combient Pure both as a member of the Advisory Council and in his role as CEO, drawing on his wealth of experience and expertise across a broad range of industries.
